The artifacting is coming from the fact that while going from the sensor to the CF card, it goes through an H.264 compression, and it seems to me that Canon just needs to work a little bit on their compression software. I fixed so it will work some scotch tape wrapped around the barrel. thanks to one of the guys on a Nikon forum. I switched to Canon and I am not sorry.
